Computing
At Ayresome Primary School, our Computing curriculum is designed to equip students with
essential digital skills and a strong understanding of technology’s role in today’s world. Through
engaging lessons that balance creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking, we inspire
students to become confident, responsible digital citizens.Our approach covers three key areas:
• Digital Literacy: Students learn to navigate and use technology safely and responsibly,
understanding the basics of digital communication and online safety
• Computer Science: By exploring coding, algorithms, and programming, students develop
logical thinking and problem-solving skills, learning how technology works behind the scenes
• Information Technology: We encourage students to use technology creatively, from
creating digital presentations to exploring multimedia tools, to enhance their learning across
subjects
