Enrichment
Varied menu of activities combined with childcare
Ayresome provides care and education for eligible 2 and 3 year old children, enhancing their learning and development from an early age. This provision supports early language, communication needs and provides a wide range of exciting activities and opportunities to stimulate the children’s personal, social and emotional development.
Park House provides a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for our very young children, ensuring that the children have the best possible start to their early years education. If you would like your child to attend our Nursery provision please contact school on 01642 244961.
We work closely with HeadStarters to deliver a club to encourage children to think about their own mental health and wellbeing. This is ran by Mrs Tidy our specialist SEMH HLTA.
Ayresome runs its own Music Hub which offers specialist music provision across the whole school including staff. The school has a very talented band and choir who are extremely committed and give up their break and lunch times to learn. Children perform regularly for the rest of the school and parents and often tour around other schools and care homes to show off their musical talents!
Ayresome offers specialist woodwind, brass, strings, voice and piano tuition for children across KS2. Children have the opportunity to play in ensembles throughout the week and there are regular opportunities to perform in and out of school. Children can work towards Trinity College, London, music awards – we have had primary school children achieve Grade 3 standard! As well as showing off their talents, children have the opportunity to work alongside professional musicians. We work closely with MusInc. and enjoy attending events they host.
We run an extensive programme of after school clubs for all ages across school, including, but not limited to football, multi sports, gymnastics, wheelchair basketball, Art clubs, LEGO club, reading club, Maths club and gardening club. These change on a half termly basis and parents will be notified in advance of clubs on offer for their children and will receive confirmation if any places are given as some have strictly limited places.
If you feel you could add further enrichment to our school through offering a club, then please do not hesitate to get in contact with Mrs Karla White who is our Extended Services Manager.
