Pupil Premium and Recovery Premium

How will we spend our Pupil Premium?

Pupil premium funding is provided by the Department for Education to those pupils who have been entitled to Free School Meals at any point over the last six years or are (or have been) children in care.

We have been allocated £547,375 for this financial year which has been allocated for use by the Local Academy Committee to provide a range of support in order to improve outcomes for pupils.

Early Years Pupil Premium

From April 2015 the early years pupil premium was introduced to support disadvantaged pupils in their pre-school setting. Priorities for the spending of the academy allocation are reviewed in line with the needs of pupils and include:

  • Communication resources;
  • Welfare support assistant to ensure high ratio of adult learning support;
  • Development of the Early Years environment to support language acquisition;
  • Parent sessions / workshops;
  • Targeted additional adult support in all prime areas.
